As one of the country's leading thoroughbred publications, the Thoroughbred Times has a photographic archive reaching back over a century. You may purchase selected photos from that archive under the conditions listed below.
Service Fees
Fees for photographic services are to be paid whether or not an image is published. These fees are for retrieving, researching and printing images. Should other services be required, customers will be advised in advance of the charges involved.
Reproduction Fees-Editorial usage
Editorial one time use only, English language.
Reuse-Each subsequent edition will be charged at 50% of the original fee.
World Rights-First charge for each language up to 3x rate gives world rights. Please contact us regarding specifics. Fees vary depending on usage.Permission
A permission form will be sent out with the images. This form is to be filled in and returned to the Archives. After payment for the image is received, the completed form will be signed by the Thoroughbred Times authority and returned to the customer with a second invoice for the reproduction fees calculated on the use as described by the applicant and payable on publication.
Copyright
The copyright law of 1976 (Public Law #94-553) is intended to protect the rights of the photographer or anyone who creates a piece of art. We will refer all inquiries for photographs not owned by the archive to the photographer who owns an image. All photographs in our archive are copyright protected and may not be used for any purpose whatsoever without permission of the copyright holder.
